Lauren Grace Marie Hunstad

As an associate, Lauren shares her time between the Intellectual Property and Labor and Employment practices at Parsons Summa. Lauren has experience serving as a creative and effective advocate on behalf of clients seeking to protect words, symbols, and designs before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. In the Labor and Employment practice, Lauren is involved in the litigation of virtually all aspects of the employment relationship and also provides expertise to the firm’s clients involving compliance and litigation avoidance. Lauren defends clients in state and federal court and in front of various state and federal administrative agencies.

A Charlotte native, Lauren holds her JD from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she served as an editor of the North Carolina Journal of Law & Technology. Additionally, she earned her BA in History and Spanish at Wake Forest University, where she graduated cum laude. Lauren also served as captain of the Club Equestrian Team. Today she remains dedicated to competitive horseback riding. Lauren’s experience also includes serving as a Judicial Intern for The Honorable Graham C. Mullen, U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. In addition, she honed communication skills as a research assistant to Professor Maxine Eichner.
